So, after watching the interview, I decided to read the book.īut what penetrated my heart was what she told me next – that for every major decisions she’s made in life, there’s a specific Scripture verse she can point to as the one that God used to personally direct her. After giving this some thought, I decided that I didn’t mind running everything by God first. I just had a mindset that I could grow to a point where I would know God so much that my default setting would be to do His will because mine would have become totally surrendered to His. I was evaluating all the major decisions I had made in my life and I had come to the realisation that I didn’t actively seek God’s face concerning them – and it was not because I was being reckless. I stumbled on that interview at a point in my life when I needed to make a decision about my career. Anyway, long story short, I saw this interview she had on TBN and she was talking about hearing God speak and how she had made some updates to her book. She always has this knowing smile when she is teaching like, ‘Trust me, I am telling you what I have seen and felt, and not just what I have been told’. I fell in love with the passion that she exudes while teaching. I started listening to Priscilla Shirer before I started reading her books. Even when you hear incorrectly, God knows your heart well, and He honours the person whose sincere desire is to know and do His will even in their imperfection.
